Surrogate!!

A new beginning
in a womb not hers.
A daughter born
unto this world
of ignominy and shame.
Tragic though the parting was,
'twas for the best', she said.

Weaned too early!
Too early to remember.
The mother, long forgotten,
no feelings remain;
no memory, of even a touch!
A silhoutte lingers
but only just.
and time, it slips away!

Somewhere now,
lie the buried remains
of someone long forgotton!
an anonymous headstone
on a nameless grave!!
